Role and responsibilities
Produce designs for all civil engineering services required by clients.
Liaise with colleagues and construction professionals throughout the design and construction process.
Use knowledge of the building process, procurement, design management and control and interaction with other stakeholders in the construction process.
Produce fee proposals for the projects.
Identify and manage project risks and prepare risk assessments.
Carry out professional development and maintaining records in accordance with ICE requirements to progress to EngTech/IEng/CEng status.
Establish yourself as a key contact with other consultants and partners and to represent the company at design team meetings.
Build and maintain good rapport with internal and external clients.
Produce and approve single and multi-discipline fee proposals for customer projects.
Understand financial control when acting as a project manager.
Supervise and support junior engineers.
Software capabilities
AutoCAD, PDS Site Developer / Civil 3D, XP Solutions suite, Micro-drainage, MS Project or similar, TEDDS, and other industry recognised software.
Education requirements
MEng Civil Engineering degree from an ICE approved course.
Approaching chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
